Sub65 Media is a netlabel that specializes in releasing music encoded with bitrates of 64kbps and below. Send in ogg, opus, amr/3gp, mp3, etc. Please tag your music files (artist, song, album, track #, etc.) and include jpg or png cover art with your music submission. Video submissions are to be 144p (256 x 144). Video releases will be uploaded to archive.org and sub's YouTube channel.  Choose a creative commons license for your release if you desire a different CC license than the CC BY 4.0 license that sub65 typically uses. Submit content that is appropriate for the general public (no pornography, lewd material, gore, bigotry, etc.) Make sure to add in your email if there is any special information and genre tags/keywords you'd like in the description and metadata sections of your release page. If no genre and keyword info is provided when you send in your submission, Sub65 will tag genres and keywords within your release page and social media posts to the best that is perceived upon listening to your release. If you'd like any genre tags changed, added, and/or deleted, don't hesitate to email. Releases are added to discogs.com utilizing the basic essential discog release page information fields (cover art, artist, title, track, genre, etc.) If you need a more detailed discog release page, feel free to edit your page as you see fit. Sub65 uses twitter and a couple other platforms to help promote your release. Each promotional online post will have a custom flavor text to help add some extra depth and curiosity to the post. jan/01/23 - I recently discovered a book that Feral House published this past October called Extreme Music: From Silence to Noise and Everything in Between by Michael Tau. They have a section in the book about the lobit scene and they even mention sub65:D It also features interviews from lobit legends like Mathias Aeschlimann, Toxic Chicken, Microbit Project, k9d, and more! I ordered the book and it arrived New Year's Eve. I was so excited that I done made an unboxing video for it too.

We have a new weekly community-driven hour-long internet radio program called the lowdown which plays low bitrate music from artists all over the planet. The show is on Mad Wasp Radio and they have their own ios, android, and web apps to stream their station.

The show will be airing Monday at 23:00 British Summer Time and Wednesday 04:00 BST. Showtimes are subject to change by the station so check the lowdown website and Twitter for updated schedule. 

After each episode is finished airing, they'll be archived over @ https://archive.org/details/@thelowdown
